Pip designed for the Stephen Joseph Theatre for many years working with Alan Ayckbourn and a variety of freelance directors during that time. Notable productions include: Private Fears in Public Places, Muddy Cows, Neighbourhood Watch, Things That Go Bump, Mr A’s Amazing Maze Plays, Absolutely Frank, I Ought to Be in Pictures, Haunting Julia and Perfect Pitch.
Recent theatre designs include: Puss in Boots and Aladdin (Chipping Norton Theatre); Snakebite and Sing Something Simple (Dark Horse Theatre); April in Paris and September in the Rain (The Booking Office); Losing the Plot, Lost and Found, Weekend Breaks and The Debt Collectors (John Godber Co / Theatre Royal Wakefield and national tour).
Pip worked frequently with Hull Truck Theatre Company, for which designs include: Bouncers, Up N Under, Teechers, The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, On the Piste, Perfect Pitch, The Woman Who Cooked Her Husband, The Flame Haired Dynamo; 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Shakers and Our House, amongst many others.
Designs for The Orange Tree Theatre include: Love’s a Luxury, The Game Hunter, Clockwatching, Whispers Along the Patio, Happy Birthday Dear Alice.
