Rob grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. He holds degrees in opera and classical music from Augustana College and the University of Massachusetts. In 1999, he joined the cast of the Flemish production of The Phantom of the Opera where he appeared as The Phantom, Raoul and Piangi. Since then he has performed in musicals and operas throughout Europe including Perón in Evita at the Ronacher Theater, Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar and Anatoly in Chess at Theater Nordhausen. At Theater Lübeck, he has been seen in Bernstein’s Mass and Sunset Boulevard. In 2019, he took over the role of Emiliano in Nico Cruz’s The Beauty of the Father at the English Theatre of Hamburg as well as the Ziegfeld Tenor in Jules Styne’s classic musical Funny Girl.
Other roles include: Billy Crocker in Anything Goes, Paris in La Belle Hélène, Graf Danilo in Die Lustige Witwe, Eisenstein in Die Fledermaus.
This summer he can be seen as the Abbot in the musical version of The Name of the Rose at the Luisenburg Festspiele.
Rob is excited to join this award-winning production of Next to Normal as Dan which is a role that has been on his actor’s bucket list.
