Malcolm Ranson
An international career has covered productions in Norway, Japan, France, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Australia and Broadway. Malcolm has also worked for many repertory theatre productions in Britain.
His most recent work includes The Three Musketeers, The Musical which is currently touring Holland, Golden Boy at Greenwich Theatre, and A Streetcar Named Desire for The Royal National Theatre. Other credits include Hamlet, King John and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe for The RSC; and Playboy of the Western World, The Relapse, Look Back in Anger, Private Lives, Oklahoma, and The Villain’s Opera all for The Royal National Theatre. He also designed the fights on the film version of Oklahoma.
London West End productions include: Bombay Dreams, Le Cava, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, Arsenic and Old Lace, Noises Off, Servant of Two Masters, Whistle Down the Wind, Les Misérables, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, American Buffalo, Star Quality; and Macbeth, which he directed at The Riverside Studios.
Film and television includes Black Adder, By the Sword Divided, Edward II for Derek Jarman, A Feast of July for Merchant.
