Juliet Shillingford

Juliet trained at Ravensbourne and Croydon Colleges of Art and was awarded an Arts Council Bursary. She has designed around a hundred productions ranging from small scale touring for New Perspectives in the East Midlands to larger scale at Curve, Leicester.

Recent credits include Cougar the Musical (Belgrade Coventry) and Kill Me Now (Park Theatre, London).
Designs for New Perspectives include Him with his Foot in his Mouth, The Lovesong of Alfred J Hitchcock (also at the 2014 Brits off Broadway Festival in New York) Entertaining Angels, The Honey Man, Dolly, Faith Healer and On Saturdays this Bed is Poland.
For Nuffield Theatre, Southampton: God of Carnage, Alchemy in the UK, Betrayal, Peeler, Playboy of the Western World and The House of Bernarda Alba.
For Curve, Leicester: The Beauty Queen of Leenane (a co-production with the Mercury Theatre), Absurd Person Singular, Molly Sweeney, Translations, The Long Road, The Lieutenant of Inishmore and The Pillowman.
UK National Touring credits include: The Butterfly Lion and Kindertransport (Hall & Childs).
For Mercury, Colchester: Aladdin, Cinderella, Animal Farm, Educating Rita, Macbeth, The Butterfly Lion and The Hired Man.

Juliet’s exhibition designs include: PQ07 Prague Quadrennial where her design for School for Wives was chosen to be part of the UK exhibit and she had two designs chosen to be part of Collaborators: UK design for Performance at the V&A 2007-8.
