Life After George took Australia by storm, winning 5 major theatre awards and a further 6 nominations. Hannie Rayson’s passionate and witty comic drama roves across thirty years masterfully combining rich, controversial characters with social and political issues.
When charismatic university professor Peter George is killed in a mysterious plane crash, the funeral arrangements bring together his three wives, united in their mourning of an exceptionally idealistic although cruel man, but divided by their generational differences. As the true nature of the man and his tempestuous life unfolds, these women, each representing an era, discover much about themselves and the lives they have lived both in and out of his shadow.
