Joyce is a freelance theatre director, and has been directing professionally since 1995.

Recent directing credits include: Sleeping Beauty, Dick Whittington (Salisbury Playhouse); Thin Air (UK tour), Peggy and the Spaceman, Sheepish, (24:7 Theatre Festival); Saturday Night & Sunday Morning, Satin ‘n’ Steel, Two, The Sunshine Boys and Travels With My Aunt, (Oldham Coliseum – nominated for Best Production MEN awards); Twelfth Night (Holland Park Open Air Theatre and UK Tour); Hamlet, (Tivoli Dublin); Macbeth, Twelfth Night, (Orange Tree Theatre tour); Macbeth (Hen & Chickens, London).

For the radio, she directed Death in Genoa starring Simon Callow.

She has directed several productions at Watford Palace Theatre where she was the Literary Associate Director, as well as directing productions at Bristol Old Vic, Cork Opera House and Harrogate Theatre Royal.

This summer Joyce will be playing the role of Lady Macbeth in a UK tour for GB Theatre Company.
