Kathy was born in Ireland and has lived in Vienna since 1972. She has played over 60 roles in Austria. Here are some of her favourites:

In musical theatre she has appeared in Sister Act in the Ronacher Theatre as Sister Mary Lazarus; Tomfoolery in the Residenz Theater playing all the female roles; Fiddler on the Roof in Staatstheater Augsburg (Chava); Chicago in Staatstheater Linz (murderer) and many shows with By Chance – two of which were broadcast in ORF.

At Vienna’s English Theatre she appeared in An Unexpected Guest (Miss Benny), Fallen Angels (Saunders), Night Must Fall (Mrs. Terence), Blithe Spirit (Edith), A Murder Is Announced (Mitzi). She also assisted Franz Schafranek directing The Dining Room. She played Kate in Bedroom Farce in the Kammerspiele, Vienna and appeared in Märchen für Millionen at Kabarett Simpl as well as in Christmas Bells (4 years) at Residenz Theatre Vienna. She also appeared in 6 productions for children.

Kathy also shot a few films: Another One Opens, Pink Palace Paradise Beach, At Swim Two Birds and various – unpaid! – films for the Filmakademie! She did many productions for the ORF including Puck (the first environmental documentary in Austria), Musikpavillon, The Comedy Show and Aus 12 mach 1 (to choose who represents Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest ? they came 6th!!).

Kathy was the first CliniClown in Europe starting in 1991 as Dr. Chaos. She was Artistic Director of this group for 6 years. She also had her own radio show, The funtastic Show, for four years and presented many shows for Radio Kolleg.

Kathy has taught Impro and drama at Germantown High School, Memphis, Belmont University,
Nashville, Moscow Film Akademie and The Academie for Art Therapy.

Kathy was a founding member of the impro group The English Lovers who have been performing for 21 years at Theatre in der Drachengasse and more recently in Vienna’s English Theatre.
She is delighted to be back now in that theatre ? it’s like coming home!
