Joseph is originally from Liverpool and trained as an actor at Drama Studio London after completing a degree in Russian and French at King’s College, Cambridge. He also spent a year training at the St. Petersburg Theatre Arts Academy (Russia).
His theatre credits include: Christmas Carol (Wilton’s Music Hall), The Cherry Orchard (Bristol Old Vic/Manchester Royal Exchange), Metamorphosis (Collide Theatre/Incoming Festival), Uncle Vanya (HOME), The Rascally Diner and A Christmas Carol (LAStheatre), The Boy and the Mermaid and Once Upon a Snowflake (Paper Balloon), Pinocchio (Stephen Joseph Theatre), The Soldier’s Tale, Façade/Strange Joy, 1936: An East London Uprising/Insert Expletive Here (East London Music Group), Dreamboats and Miniskirts (UK tour) and The Hypochondriac (Theatre Royal Bath).
He is also a musician and composer and has written music and songs for The Cherry Orchard (Bristol Old Vic/Manchester Royal Exchange), Kindred Spirits, The Woman Who Amuses Herself and A Christmas Carol (The Brockley Jack) and for LAStheatre’s A Christmas Carol (Folkestone Quarterhouse), and The Lion Inside and The Rascally Diner which both toured, performing to outdoor audiences from the side of a caravan during the pandemic. He plays piano, trumpet, baritone ukulele, and accordion – which is his main instrument – and he gigs regularly with various bands in and around London.
